This is one of the iconic features of Yosemite. Here on the northern wall of the valley water plunges down, hits rock, rushes down a steep slope, and shooting out for the last (relatively) short drop of the falls. A bridge spanning the water as it drains into the center of the valley is positioned close to the base of the falls. Mist from the falls continuously sweeps across the bridge and adjacent paths. If one can tear oneself away from the majesty of the falls, a spectacle of nature is revealed. Lush valleys surrounded by towering trees astound. Raised wooden walkways traverse the grand scenery.
