Habitat
Servals like the grasslands. This is where their style of hunting is most effective. Being able to sneak up on prey without being seen is an art they have perfected. Another factor servals look for in a home territory is water. They like to stay near water which is both for drinking and a refuge from some predators.
Survival
With so many cat species endangered throughout the world, how does the serval’s future look? Fortunately they are not faring as badly as many cats. Hunting for skins is becoming less profitable. However, destruction of habitat is a threat. Additionally, there habitat may also shrink due to climate change.
